Ethnicity: Pennsylvania has a large German population, the Amish has contributed to that a lot. However he also has Irish, Italian, and Polish in him.
Religion: Alex's religion will always be of the Quaker sort. That is the religion he has had since the days of his founding. Though as the years went by, the Society of Friends (Quakers) slowly disappeared. Now his religion is primary Catholic, though it's very hard to get rid of his Quaker values.
Government: For as long as I can remember, Pennsylvaian has always been a blue state. Being more liberal in the urban areas like Pittsburgh and Philadelphia (which sort of dominate the state). And more conservative in Pennsyltucky the middle of the state in the rural areas. Though the blue streak for the state has come to an end with the last election that the US had. PA is now a red state. Though that really doesn't dictate the way that he thinks.
Likes: junk food of all shapes and sizes, classical music, polka music, reading, Mummers, helping others (he's a psychologist), drinking tea (even during the revolution when people refused to drink tea, he still did so. Mainly because its so tasty.), guns and hunting, football, baseball, hockey, scrapple, cheesesteaks, sleeping whenever he can, and playing violin.
Dislikes: New Jersey, New York, mascots (has a fear of these) , marine mammals (Fears Dolphins), peanuts (allergic to them), Celery (allergic to that as well), milk (doesn't like the taste), coffee, basketball, and that's all I can think of at the moment.
Notable Foreign Relationships:In present day, PA's foreign relationships are mainly based on the exportation of goods. The state's highest exports are Petroleum & coal, furniture, processed foods, chemicals, and electronic equipment. The state top five export destinations are: Canada, Mexico, China, United Kingdom, and Japan . But back then, of course, he had relationships with Sweden for in the beginning he was known as New Sweden. I would expect he has relationships with Germany as well, since he did take in a lot of his people during his colonial days.
